GuideAccessibilityin Val d'Isère
This guide brings together information provided by partner establishments of the Tourist Office regarding accessible venues and services for people with disabilities in Val d’Isère.
Its purpose is to help you make the most of your stay and enjoy the activities available throughout the village and resort. However, this guide does not replace prior preparation or on-site planning based on your specific needs.
The Tourist Office strives to keep this information up to date, although its accuracy cannot be guaranteed. Our team remains at your disposal to assist you with any enquiries.
Getting around the village
Some activities or facilities may be more easily accessible with assistance, particularly due to narrow passages, uneven pavements or level differences. The destination teams are continuously working to improve accessibility and comfort for all. Construction works are currently underway in the village centre (2025–2026), which should help improve access to certain shops and facilities.
Regional Commitment H+
As part of its ongoing commitment to accessibility, Val d’Isère joined the voluntary regional initiative “H+” on June 18, 2025.
This program guides us in developing a progressive action plan to create new inclusive and disability-friendly services while promoting them across the resort. It also involves close collaboration with local stakeholders, supported by the regional authorities.
Chart« Pour une montagne de confort »
Val d’Isère is committed to making the mountains accessible to everyone.
As a signatory of the “For a Mountain of Comfort” charter, Val d’Isère reaffirms its dedication to continually improving the welcome and comfort of all visitors, particularly those with disabilities.
This quality-driven approach ensures that services across all areas — accommodation, leisure, and transport — are designed to make the mountain enjoyable for everyone.
To further this commitment, the guide “La Haute-Tarentaise Comfortable for All” provides clear, detailed information on accessible accommodation, activities, transport, and public services — including options for seniors and families with strollers.
