First Ride

In order to democratize the practice of mountain biking, Val d’Isère inaugurates its learning zone at the foot of the Bike Park with test courses for users to discover their level before hitting the slopes.

Find at the foot of the Face of Bellevarde:

  • A flat initiation course with a few small and very easy wooden obstacles, to discover the handling of a mountain bike, electric or not.
  • A mini green descent with a few turns over 200 meters long, to learn the basics before climbing on Bellevarde to descend the long green Popeye track.
  • A mini blue descent, a small concentrate of the main difficulties to learn and initiate oneself to more technical tracks such as the Val Bleue or the Blue Lagoon.
  • 2 small climbs: a very easy green one, even without VTTAE, allowing to try the course “Val Pesto”, and a blue one a little more difficult similar to the Magic Fairy for example.

A course for All Terrain Wheelchairs (ATW)

Following a collaboration with the French Federation of Handisport, the Bike Park Tignes-Val d’Isère welcomes its first course dedicated to FTT (All Terrain Wheelchairs) disabled as well as valid. This new route combines the Popeye trail and the Val Bleue, with the “FTT” markers added on the necessary signs. Course of difficulty “2” in the national rating of the French Federation of Handisport.

Practical information

For your safety, respect the signage in place!

  • Adapted mountain bike essential.
  • Mandatory helmet and protections very strongly recommended.
  • Mountain bike prohibited in the Vanoise National Park under penalty of fine.
  • Priority to pedestrians! On the All Mountain and E-Bike routes.
  • Beware of herds, ride at a pace.

There are a dozen patrollers who maintain the trails daily for your pleasure and safety.

A bicycle cleaning station is available in front of the Aquasportif Center.
