BELLEVARDE UPHILL FLOW
A day entirely dedicated to e-MTBs to celebrate the climb. The ‘Fée Magique’ trail has been redesigned to include fun and technical challenges such as ‘shake-it-up’ sections, sections where you cannot put a foot down, impossible climbs, a ‘waiter’s challenge’ and even a memory game. Two difficulty levels, blue and red, are available for the climb up to Bellevarde Rock; the trail is not suitable for beginners (green level). The event is completely free and open to children aged 12 and over who can ride a bike, under their parents’ supervision. Nine e-mountain bikes are available to borrow for the event, subject to booking.
The routes:
Blue route: 7 challenges, climb via the ‘Magic Fairy’ trail to Lac Bleu, descent recommended via the ‘Popeye’ trail.
Red route: 9 challenges, climb via ‘Fée Magique’ to the summit of Bellevarde, descent recommended via ‘Flowy Jumper’.
Programme:
◆ From 9.00 am at La Daille: free registration, giving access to refreshments, the BBQ and the raffle.
◆ 9.30 am: start on e-MTBs from the La Daille cable car. Free hire of an e-MTB and a helmet available, subject to availability (limited to 9 bikes).

24H ISERAN
Having spent several years working seasonally in Val d’Isère, ultra-cyclist Maxime Weibel launched the Iseran Cycling Club at the start of the summer with his friend Elisa to organise social rides – weekly group climbs to the Col de l’Iseran. He has set himself the personal challenge of cycling between the village and the pass in 24 hours. This is a good opportunity to remind everyone that the Iseran remains open until its winter closure (scheduled for 1 November 2026; closure date for 2025: 20 October)!
“I’m a huge fan of the Col de l’Iseran; my challenge for the end of summer is to make as many return trips to the pass as possible in 24 hours. A Dutchman managed 9 ascents last year in just under 24 hours; my aim is to set a new record! I’ll be setting off from the Tourist Office square; I’ll have colleagues helping me with refreshments, and some will join me for part of the way!” Maxime Weibel, a 26-year-old ultra-cyclist from Alsace – one to watch!
◆ Setting off on Saturday 29 August at 12 noon, finishing on Sunday 30 August at 12 noon at the Tourist Office square.
◆ Follow him live via a GPS tracker and updates on his Instagram account every three hours to track his progress and cheer him on.
