La Folie CoffeeA new venue for coffee lovers
La Folie Douce is broadening its horizons with La Folie Coffee, a new venue located in the heart of the village. Check out their Instagram page.
This coffee shop, cake shop and snack bar rolled into one is the perfect place to enjoy a morning coffee or an après-ski break. Their delicious products include French sourdough bread, cakes and pastries created by Benoît Charvet and Franck Mischler.
Alternatively, try La Folie Coffee Private, a more exclusive venue available for private hire.
Take note: a grocery section is also opening at La Petite Cuisine Gare Centrale.

The Val d’Isère Café will open this winter with the simple aim of becoming a lively venue in its own right, independent from the hotel. Open to all, it will serve specialist organic coffees and the latest trends in beverages, as well as pastries, crêpes, local beers, Spritz classics and a range of savoury snacks to eat in or take away. Open daily, non-stop from 8.30am to 6pm, throughout the summer and winter seasons.
L’Arctic Coffeecelebrates its 10th anniversary
Already 10 years since Arctic Coffee opened its doors! Created in Val d’Isère, this concept embracing sport and inspired by the mountains, has expanded over the years to serve tasty, healthy cuisine and organic coffee.

The mysterious Mount Iseran featured in maps for over 250 years, until explorers discovered that it had never existed. This incredible story will be brought to life this winter, here in Val d’Isère.
At the top of the Vallon gondola, a new immersive experience opened in December 2024, inviting skiers to take a break and glide right into this local legend.
Old maps, ancient objects, vintage equipment, illustrations and audio features tell the story of this imaginary peak and the explorers who set out to find it.
A cultural experience with a difference, to be enjoyed on skis at an elevation of 2,800 metres.
An ever more responsible ski resortA new, all-electric snow groomer
Val d’Isère pursues its promise of a more responsible ski area, with the arrival of a brand-new Prinoth Leitwolf LTE-Motion electric snow groomer.
This new addition to the snow fleet operates without directly generating any fine particles and emits 93% less CO₂ than a groomer fitted with an HVO 100 engine.
It is also quieter and costs half as much to operate as a thermal snow groomer, mainly due to its lower maintenance costs and energy consumption.
Even more progress, in addition to the other measures previously taken by the resort.

The adventure continues forThe Travelski Night Express
Val d’Isère can be reached by overnight train from a number of European cities.
Following the success of the Paris – Bourg-Saint-Maurice link, the Travelski Night Express service is being expanded to make it even easier to travel to the French Alps.
This winter, night trains will also operate to and from Amsterdam, Rotterdam, Antwerp and Brussels, in addition to the Paris line.
The idea is to travel overnight to a destination close to the Alpine resorts, leaving time for onward travel to Val d’Isère.
During their first year of service, these trains recorded an 85% load factor and a reported punctuality of 95%.
An alternative to the car for those looking for a different way to travel to Val d’Isère.
