In summer, it is a popular choice for hikers and fishing enthusiasts who come to contemplate the peaceful surroundings and panoramic views, for a relaxing break in the great outdoors. Ouillette Lake In summer

A different way to explore: a calm and inspiring place

Ouillette Lake is a stone’s throw from the Col de l’Iseran mountain pass (2,350 m), and visitors can expect a calm and soothing place with panoramic views of the Vanoise. This is a destination of choice for hikers but that being said, it remains a timeless spot, the perfect place to just embrace the moment or go for a picnic.

What is there to do there in summer?

Unmissable hikes Take in the scenery at Ouillette Lake

🌿Relax and unwind on the shores of the lake…

Ouillette Lake is also the ultimate place to come and relax. Lie on the grass or grab one of the wooden tables and enjoy a picnic facing the peaks, or evening drinks and nibbles as you watch the sunset, in a peaceful and spectacular setting. The children can play at the play area nearby, while the grown ups relax or read a good book in the great outdoors. The ideal place for some quality time as a family, as close to the sky as you can get.

As the sun goes down, blazing colours fill the sky and then darkness gradually takes over. Far from any light pollution, the Milky Way is visible to the naked eye, and the stars seem to be within arm’s reach. Lie on the grass and simply embrace the silence as you look up at the spectacular starry sky. A moment where time stands still as you wonder at the peaceful display before you.
