An experience to awaken the senses

The Petite Vadrouille experience is all about taking your time, stopping for breaks along the way. One highlight is a tasting of local products, a chance to discover the specialities of the upper Tarentaise valley, all in a friendly spirit.

Five reasons to do La Petite Vadrouille!

    • An original combination of physical exercise, culture and gastronomy.
    • Accessible to all thanks to the power-assisted mountain bikes.
    • An authentic Val d’Isère heritage experience.
    • A family-friendly excursion, also ideal for groups of friends.
    • All in the company of a local guide and an MTB instructor

Prefer to follow the route unguided?

The Petite Vadrouille route largely follows the Val Pesto, an easy, waymarked 18-km MTB trail, perfect for an outing with family or friends. If you fancy exploring at your own pace, simply hire a mountain bike, with or without powered assistance and set off along the route, not forgetting to take plenty of water with you.

You’ll admire the same beautiful scenery and visit the different hamlets of Val d’Isère, stopping to learn more from the information panels dotted along the way. This unguided excursion does not, however, include professional guidance or the tasting of local products.
