La Maison de Val invites you to the screening of the documentary film “Francis Hallé, the tree passer”, in the presence of its director Pierre-Marie Hubert.
Synopsis: "We are degrading our environment. Plants, on the other hand, are improving theirs. In the long run, who is the smartest?" These are the words of an exceptional botanist: Francis Hallé. A specialist in tropical forests, he has traveled the globe his whole life in search of a little-known plant world. Today, he has set his sights on the forests of Costa Rica.
There, he meets Matthieu Griffon, a young Frenchman working for the protection and reintroduction of an endangered species: the green macaw. Together, the two men embark on a philosophical and scholarly journey through these lush landscapes. An exploration during which Francis Hallé reveals to his young apprentice the many secrets of an exceptional biodiversity.
From primary forests to nature reserves, they also meet local populations who maintain a harmonious and respectful relationship with nature.
