In the heart of the Fornet area, the new-generation Vallon de l’Iseran gondola takes you up to the Pissaillas glacier. Fast and comfortable, it offers a unique immersive experience at the top with “The Legend of Mont Iseran.”

Inaugurated during the 2024–2025 winter season, the Vallon de l’Iseran gondola now links Le Fornet to the Pissaillas glacier in record time. Comfort, speed, and environmental respect guided this exemplary project, designed to preserve the natural beauty of the area.

✅ Comfort and speed for skiers
With 10-seat cabins (compared to 6 previously), the gondola offers a smooth and pleasant ascent to 2,790 meters in just six and a half minutes. A more comfortable, faster experience with no waiting to reach the peaks of the ski area.

✅ Reduced environmental impact
Built along the existing route, it minimizes its footprint on local wildlife and flora. The removal of 32 pylons and two drag lifts has opened up the slope, restoring a more natural landscape. Protected alpine plant species found on site have been carefully replanted.

✅ New for winter 2025–2026: “The Legend of Mont Iseran”
The top station unveils a brand-new scenography: a poetic and immersive journey through the story of the legendary Mont Iseran, a summit that has inspired mountaineers and travelers for over two centuries.
