Snow removal Iseran pass

Europe’s highest road pass (2,770m), the snow clearing of the Col de l’Iseran is a major project starting in May and requiring several weeks of work on both sides of the pass. It links the valleys of the Arc (Maurienne side) and Isère (Tarentaise side), between the ski resorts of Bonneval-sur-Arc and Val-d’Isère!

Snow heights often reach 8 to 10m in some areas, not to mention the possible avalanches linked to this large quantity of snow. For this reason, the precise opening date of the pass depends on the progress of snow clearance work and/or any new snowfalls.

We will update the precise opening date of the pass on this page as soon as the information is available.
