This route is a gateway to the mountainous region of the Avalanche and its magnificent crossing points.
The first part takes place in the Grande Sassière Nature Reserve where, if you are lucky, you can see ibex, chamois and bearded vultures.
It all starts with the ascent of Picheru, then switches to the side of Lac de la Sassière and climbs up to the Col de la Baillettaz. From this 360° viewpoint, you descend to the hamlet of Le Fornet, which you cross and where a refreshment point awaits...
