“Premières Traces” - Resort opening weekend

Resort opening weekend
Saturday 2 December 2023 (Day 1):
- From 9am: 2023-24 equipment testing: ski (Ski Force Winter Tour) and snowboard testing.

Val d’Isère will be hosting the “Ski Force Winter Tour”, where you can try out the new ranges from the leading ski/snowboard brands free of charge and get expert advice.
- 20 ski brands: Armada, Atomic, Black Crows, Blizzard, Dynastar, Elan, Faction, Fischer, Head, Kästle, Raccoon, Movement, Nordica, Rossignol, Salomon, Scott, Stöckli, Völkl, Zag, Lacroix
- 8 snowboard brands: Academy Snowboards, Bataleon, Cardiff, Deeluxe, Pallas, Salomon, Weston, Rome.
Discover, too, all the latest goggles and sunglasses from our partner Oakley, as well as the Ski~Mojo exoskeleton.

If you’d like to take part in these tests, please register at the test village or online, and we’ll issue you with a free tester’s card.
Don’t forget to bring your ski/snowboard boots and poles along with you, as well as two forms of ID.

The brand village at the foot of the slopes will host musical entertainment from DJ Ousedite and brass band “Fanfare Express”.

- 10am to 1pm: Explore the ski area with ESF ski school instructors on skis or snowboards and based on your level (beginner, intermediate or advanced).
These sessions are open only to those registered for the “Premières Traces” weekend.

- From 4.45pm: Mulled wine tasting, to the sounds of a brass band, on the tourist office square.

- 5.30pm: Tombola. If you’ve taken part in the ski/snowboard tests, you’ll also be in with a chance to win skis, snowboards and accessories on the tourist office square.

- 6pm: Official Christmas tree lights switch-on by the Mayor of Val d’Isère, Patrick Martin.

- 6.05pm: Live concert on the tourist office square with group “Moon Light”, an eclectic mix of pop, rock and funk covers.

- 7pm: Screenings of extreme sports films at the “Centre de Congrès” events venue.
Free for those with “Premières Traces” PACKAGES and subject to availability.

Sunday 3 December 2023 (Day 2):
- From 9am: 2023-24 equipment testing: ski (Ski Force Winter Tour) and snowboard testing.

If you’d like to take part in these tests, please register at the test village, and we’ll issue you with a free tester’s card.
Don’t forget to bring your ski/snowboard boots and poles with you!
Please note: To collect your tester’s card, you MUST present two forms of ID.
Music all day in the test village, with a DJ and brass band.
