Destination of Excellence

The “Qualité Tourisme” label will be replaced by the “Destination Excellence” label in 2024. The Tourist Office is now subject to stricter quality criteria, as well as new criteria relating to social and ecological responsibility.

The “Destination d’Excellence” label was awarded to the Val d’Isère Tourist Office in February 2026.

This label marks the continuity and reinforcement of our Quality approach, recognised since 2017, now associated with responsible and sustainable governance and operation.

To obtain it, the Tourist Office must demonstrate:

An exemplary customer welcome ;
An approach aimed at improving the Office’s accessibility and the quality of services offered to customers with disabilities;
An environmentally and socially responsible approach, both in its internal administration and in the services it provides to customers.

Category I classification

This classification is awarded in recognition of excellent reception and service.

It requires the Tourist Office to meet criteria relating to :

Relations with the municipality, professionals and customers;
The administrative structure – to ensure regulatory compliance and the ability to respond fully and professionally to the expectations of our customers.
