If you plan to walk, the lifts are open free of charge for pedestrians in Val d’Isère. You have to buy a pass in Tignes.

Le Lac de L’Ouillette is a great family destination for a day out in the sunshine. This Alpine lake is in a beautiful setting above the village at 2500m, perfect for a family picnic or a lazy lunch on the restaurant terrace, drinking in the spectacular mountain views.
This summer sees the opening of a new children’s play area.

There’s a choice of ways to reach it: take the Solaise gondola, followed by a short downhill walk; drive or cycle 13km uphill along the road towards the Col de l’Iseran; alternatively hike a 13km trail, climbing 662 vertical metres – it takes about two-and-a-half hours.

Val d’Isère mountain leaders propose you thematic outings during all summer season.
