Open since December 20, 2017 in the premises of the Maison de Val, the museum tells you the story of our beautiful resort and those who made it so…
The museum offers a didactic device tracing the evolution of the region through a series of themes such as the traditional habitat, the genesis of the resort, the advent of skiing and the environment. In each era, a handful of men reinvent themselves and take up the new challenges imposed by life in the mountains. Discover how, with the rhythm of the seasons, a few pioneers take advantage of a scenery as dangerous as it is fertile. From the agropastoral culture to the international ski resort, meet the Avalins who have shaped Val d’Isère.
