The Savoyard Fair 05 and 06/08/23

On August 5 and 6, 2023 for its 18th edition, find this great fair typically regional and spend a most convivial moment in a warm and festive atmosphere. On the program, discover more than 100 exhibitors and craftsmen from the four corners of Savoie and Piedmont who will present their know-how and their passions. The Avaline Fair is also numerous animations for children, concerts of all kinds, Savoyard folklore and antique dealers. During these two days, the village of Val d’Isère is transformed and transports you out of time. In the past in Savoie, fairs were fundamental to allow the exchange of products between Italians and Tarentais. The Avaline Fair revives this tradition and invites you to discover the very renowned products of our close neighbors.

We take the opportunity to fill up on good local products, we allow ourselves a little break at the wine stand for a tasting and we let ourselves be surprised by all the stories of the sculptors who share their passion with us. From jewelry, to books, to essential oils, to decoration and accessories, go from stall to stall and fall for this beautiful handmade porcelain vase!

This unique festival honors the traditional evening gatherings that were held in the past between neighbors during the long winter evenings. We then take the opportunity to listen to Juliette Bonnevie, born here in Fornet, who still tells us the stories of yesteryear.
