SATURDAY, NOVEMBER 25 : OFFICIAL OPENING OF THE VAL D’ISÈRE-TIGNES SKI AREA

Ouverture EK 002

On the Val d’Isère side

From this Saturday, a large number of lifts and pistes will be open in various sectors: Pissaillas/Iseran, Solaise, Bellevarde/ Daille. You can ski back to La Daille.

Some tips for Val d’Isère:

Experienced skiers can test the season’s new gear on the front de neige. Take the Olympique gondola, ski from the top of Bellevarde all the way down to La Daille, hop on a ski bus back to the village, and change skis for the next lap. Alternatively jump on the Solaise gondola, explore the pistes on this side of the village and ride the new Datcha chair-lift.

For beginners, the village nursery slopes are open and you don’t need a lift pass to use them.

If you want a more comprehensive tour of the higher sections of the ski area, take the cable car up from Le Fornet followed by the gondola, Enjoy a few runs on the Pissaillas glacier before riding the ‘up-and-over’ Leissières chair with its breath-taking views and make your way back to Val d’Isère via Solaise.
