On Wednesday, January 3th, the storm Eleanor generated winds up to 172 km / h above 2,500 meters. In these extreme conditions, Val d’Isère Téléphériques decided to close the whole ski area at 11:20am.
On Thursday, January 4th, the intensity of climatic events and the importance of natural risks in Val d’Isère led the Mayor to take exceptional measures and to announce, due to the risk of widespread avalanche, the closure of the entire Val d’Isère & Tignes ski area.
Customers were invited to contact directly the company from which they had purchased their skipass (tour operator, agency, hotel, Val d’Isère Téléphériques ticket offices…) in order to make a claim.
For all customers who wanted to, skipass extensions have been offered at the ticket offices on the days of January 6 and 7.
For customers who have subscribed to the Carré Neige insurance, have to make their claim on www.carreneige.com/fr.
For customers who bought their ski-passes at the ticket offices or on the website www.valdisere.ski without insurance, have been invited to make a claim on https ://ticketoski.fr/fr/val-d-isere.
Regarding its general terms, and for all ski-passes including the 3rd and the 4th of January, Val d’Isère Téléphériques will offer, as a credit or a refund, a lump sum of money per skipass for the two days, without distinction of ages or discounts.
Concerning Val d’Isère Téléphériques’ partners, they were invited to contact the sales department for their customers request.
