Located at the foot of the Alps, the Grand Paradis Vanoise nature trail links together two neighbouring national parks: the Vanoise National Park in Savoy and the Grand Paradis National Park situated in-between the Piémont and Aosta valleys.

The Grand Paradis- Vanoise Nature Trek connects across the glaciers the villages of Bonneval-sur-Arc (France), Valsavarenche (Italy), Rhêmes Notre Dame (Italy), Ceresole Reale (Italy) and Val d’Isère (France).

The route follows ancient mule tracks that were also used by coal porters, merchants, soldiers and sometimes by smugglers. The project is supported by the European Union and is subsidised by European regional development funds.
