In order to kick-start real environmental transition, the municipality has launched a Sustainable Development Laboratory service, with an action plan based on three pillars: social, economic and environmental issues. To carry out its mission, the Development Lab relies on the LUCIE 26000 label, created in 2019: this is the first social-responsibility label dedicated to local authorities and aligned with the international ISO 26000 standard. As a result, the community has made a series of concrete commitments over three years to improve the region’s attractiveness, public policy and services provided to citizens by reducing economic, social and environmental risks.
Some municipal actions: the CCAS’ use of glass containers and plastic lids for transporting meals and an ongoing transport study aiming to limit the presence of vehicles in the centre of the village, while the local primary school is currently working towards obtaining the Eco-École label for eco-friendly schools.
